Each time someone asks me about my siblings, I would reply, "Yah I have a younger sister."
And without fail, they would be, "She also in band?" (Or some performing arts CCA).
I always wonder why would people make that kind of association about my sis and performing arts cca even without knowing her. Is it because I'm from band and 'cos I'm too committed to band that everyone thinks both of us would be in some CCA that well, tends to be showcased?
Here comes the shocking news:
YOU GUYS ARE ABSOLUTELY WRONG!
My sis is actually in a CCA that is not related to performing arts at all - Basketball!
And whenever I tell people that, they would go, "Huh then why you like that? She must be much taller than you la!"
Thanks for the sweet comment, yes she's taller than me. So expected right!
Actually my sis joined Chinese Dance when she was in lower primary. But she felt that it was not quite suitable for her 'cos it required more of bending of her bones than running about. So she quit that cca and eventually got spotted by a Basketball teacher because of her height. And duh, she's been playing it ever since :D
I always felt very zai whenever I say that my sis plays basketball, 'cos basketball seems like a very manly sport which not many females are interested in. But I can do without the "So she's taller than you la!" Zzz.
Cool right. Both of us have two strikingly different interests. I never liked moving about, but she loves running laps. I hated anything that requires me to catch/throw etc, but she's been hugging her basketball ever since my granddad got one for her on her birthday. Hmm.

So, don't play play k! My sister plays basketball hor!
