Hello all! Let me just kickstart today's entry with one *ahem* picture taken during the good hair day!

Okay act cute only ahahahah.
So this week was slightly different from the other weeks, with many out-of-curriculum activities planned.
First off, Festival of Life.
I chose batik painting (actually together with Liz but that girl couldn't wake up early enough so I went alone :/). It was really quite fun! Okay maybe I appreciated it more because it only took up like half of my day :)))) BUT I still enjoyed it all the same - I love anything that involves colours and creativity.

I knew I wanted this template when I first saw it.
So first you sketch out (in my case I traced out cos I didn't want to waste time brainstorming of some weird design that might turn out ugly ) a design of your desired choice on and piece of cloth.
When I saw this template I could almost imagine the colours in it already. So therefore I HAD to choose it no matter what. I go by the saying, you'll know it when you see it.
After the tracing/sketching we're supposed to outline the entire drawing with wax. This is to resist the paint from spreading to other parts of the cloth when applying colour. The whole process was pretty messy, so I wasn't really willing to snap pictures in case of accidents.
Then the last step - and my favourite one - application of colours!!! Here is what my masterpiece looks like!

It turned out a little off what I imagined.... But at least I got the blue birds out.
The outlining with wax was the toughest part! We had to have absolute concentration and control over the tool that was used for the outline, 'cos once the wax has been applied it couldn't be removed, and that would affect the entire painting. Which explains why I had the (also) ugly purple border to hide most of the leaking flaws. Hehe *exposed*

Yeap and here's what my friends at the same table did. All really colourful :)
After FoL I went home for a shower and nap and went out again to meet Mj for Hunger Games!!!

IT WAS FANTASTIC.
I didn't read the book, but I heard that similar to Harry Potter, the written series was quite commendable so as usual I had to watch the movie. Wasn't really expecting much from the it, but the film turned out really good. Full of suspense and action - manipulation, betrayal, love, isolation all portrayed in one film. And not to forget, hot/cute guys!!!!!!!!
Giving it a 4/5 star, imho.

Pizza Hut for lunch.

Taken when Mj was waiting with me for my bus to send me off :)
Next few movies to catch would be: Titanic 3D (!!!!!!!!) and The Lady!
On Tuesday Guitar Ensemble had to go for this compulsory guitar concert by Tama High School Guitar Ensemble. Freaking $18 for a single ticket. Frankly speaking I feel that they should't have forced us to go for concerts so early in the year 'cos I've not even attached myself to the ensemble as how I attached myself to Swiss Winds. Moreover, I don't even know the different terms for the different sections, and how to hear whether the sound's good or not, so basically I just went there to, well for a lack of a better term, show face.
Nevertheless I pretty much enjoyed it cos there was Charlene and Shawn with me!!

My "clique" in Guitar LOL. Both of them are like walking happiness-es please!
After the concert which I (really) couldn't understand, we rushed down to Raffles City's Mac for late dinner because all of us were like starving, yes literally starving, 'cos we haven't eaten since like 12? (I forgot about dinner 'cos I went back Swiss to get my SGC and visited band as well, so...........)
Wednesday - Learning Journey to Specialist Cadet School. No pictures taken since photography was not allowed there, but I did take some on the bus ride with ZC :)
