Thank you sooooooooooo much to those who had taken time off to celebrate my birthday with me, namely Guitar Section One, A34/12, and my dearest family. Special thanks to Zq who made and dedicated an extremely touching video to me!! Thank you too to those people who wished me happy birthday via text/whatsapp/facebook/ftf when you guys see me in school. Your wishes are really, really, really well-appreciated and I wish for you guys to achieve back whatever well-wishes you guys hoped for me :)
My seventeenth birthday is one of the best birthdays I've ever had in my entire seventeen years of life. I had two surprise parties, a wish that I though that will never come true granted, romantic gifts/cards and touching well-wishes. So here I am, sharing my 17th birthday experience with you guys :')

The first surprise came from my section in Guitar! It was totally unexpected, I swear. YingJia and Char found out that my birthday was nearing a few days back and they planned a surprise birthday party for me with the section on Twitter!!!
And it's not even officially my birthday yet! (31 July 2012)
I innocently followed Char to the washroom when Guitar ended and I came back to the room with a lighted candle on a brownie and a birthday song from the entire section. Can you imagine how touched was I?!?!?! And I didn't even tell anyone from Guitar the date of my birthday!!
This girl brought me to the washroom ten thousand times to keep me away from the section while they discuss and prepare my birthday surprise!!
Yes, I was that dumb to not suspect anything lololol.

Oh and thank you to Shawn too, who came back knocking on my section's door after the party to wish me happy birthday because someone told him that my section's celebrating my birthday while he was waiting for Char and I. His birthday message came last, and he told me he had purposely waited for 12am on 1st August to wish me so he'll be the last to do so. What a weird guy but thanks all the same!!!

The second surprise came from my beloved A34/12!!!!! (I had already expected this, but being A34/12 they prepared yet another surprise for me that was totally unexpected!!)
Happy 17th Birthday to me!!!!
Everyone was trying their best to keep me away from the class by dragging me down to the canteen, making me stay at the canteen for as long as possible, bringing me to the washroom and in the end even resorted to bringing me to the track so that the class could prepare for the surprise.
I walked into class, still holding my cup of banana milk ice-blended and I was greeted with a cake, an intricately designed card by Yingying, and birthday songs in both English and Mandarin!!
I swear even though I had already expected the surprise, I was still throwing confetti inside. Really!!!

The precious card that Ying made with love! Look at the Batman that Zach drew in two minutes - it has balloons and heels (due to my fetish for JC shoes). The card is now sitting fitfully on my study desk whilst I figure out a way and place to hang it in my room! :)
I mentioned that there was a surprise in a surprise and here it is!!
A $50 Forever21 gift voucher!!! They actually went to the expense to get a gift voucher after spending on a cake and the materials for the card!!
I felt mixed feelings when they presented me with the F21 voucher. Appalled, touched, elated - all in one. I could really never ask for a better class.
Thank you guys so much!! I love you all, love you guys till the world ends!! (And the world never ends so I love you!)
I met Mj for Lunch @ Sakae Sushi on the same day and his gifts surprised me too!!

He told me the attendant at the store explained to him that the scent was of a "playful" one and he gave me the look. Lolololol.

A puzzle made from our favourite picture!!!
I remember telling Mj that I'll cry if he actually did complete a 1000 piece puzzle for me as my birthday gift when we watched Batman together and well, he really did produce a puzzle for me!!! I was so speechless - I mean he actually went all around to source for a store to turn our favourite picture into a puzzle for me - just because of what I told him casually.
Ten thousand kisses to you Mj! I feel so blessed to have you as a friend, and I really don't know any other way to reinforce this fact. Just know that I cherish you very, very, very much!!!

And I have something to confess... Daddy Tang paid for the shoes for me. He strode into my room one day whilst I was completing my mountain of homework and told me that he'll be paying for my shoes for me, since it was for my birthday. He only waited till the very last minute to break the news to me so as to make me save up some money on my own... Something which I am really bad at haha. So in the end, the shoes were a birthday present from Daddy Tang!!
I really couldn't thank him enough. He granted the wish that I thought was never gonna come true without any hesitation. All that he asks for is for me to at least do decently well in school. And that would serves as a motivation for me to repay him. I promise I'll do well in school and do you proud!! Thank you so much and I love you, very, very, very much! :')
Can't wait to bring this pair of babes out for their début trip to town!! ;)

My beloved Ziqi made and dedicated a special birthday video just for me as my birthday gift!!
It may not seem as that much of a big deal to you guys out there, but as I watched it with the clock ticking away... I teared.
I cried because the video was just too touching (for me); it represented 15 years of friendship that I shared with her, 15 years of happy memories. I cried because I felt so loved by everyone - people actually remembered my birthday without me telling them, and even went the extra mile as to prepare surprise birthday parties for me. Not only that, the gifts that were given to me were all gifts that were carefully thought through, gifts that represent everyone's love and well-wishes.
I am a very blessed girl, blessed with friends that care for me, blessed with a loving family, and blessed with a comfortable life.

As I turn seventeen, I found a new meaning in life. Cliché as it may sound, but there is really nothing in my life that I have to complain about. In fact, there are still so many other duties and desires of life that I've yet to complete and pursue.
At the bare minimum, the one most important task of my life presently would be to do well in school, for both my parents and I.
Being happy is a choice. You can choose to be either happy or sad each day. Similarly, making others happy is a choice as well. On my seventeenth birthday, I strive to bring joy to the lives of people I cherish :)
