Updates: Nich's Birthday, Mj's (very belated) gift, Teacher's Day, Lunch @ The Square

Happy happy happy Seventeenth Birthday Nicky!!!
I promised I'd dedicate a blog post to you so here it is!!
You've been such a sweetheart to me during this eight memorable months that it's almost impossible to pick out any flaws from you. Maybe during the times when your jokes really tickled my funny bone that much that I couldn't stop laughing even if I wanted to.

I've learnt many things from you, from mastering the art of Zen to finding an asymptote. You're my listening ear for many situations, and somewhat a reliable person that I could always count on to chat with and share secrets with. It has been a great pleasure working alongside with you during group work, especially during PW with you and Zach's epic jokes.

Thank you for making college life so enjoyable for me, contrary to the popular belief that JC life was supposed to be living hell. I experienced fun moments with you in class, motivational moments with you during gym, ecstatic moments with you while discussing about cute guys and hot girls, and they all mean a whole lot to me. Somewhat you had managed to slightly tame the wildness in me - Each time I feel like acting rashly I'd remember you and your art of Zen... And I guess that had prevented me into going heads on into many arguments... Which probably earned me more good karma points!!!

I sincerely hope you had enjoyed the surprise class party that was specially dedicated to you!!! And make sure you had savored every moment of it; that was love from A34/12 to you on your special day!!! Oh and I suddenly remembered how you love to scream out song lyrics *laughs*.

Cheers to having more joyous moments next year!! I'd be looking forward!! :)

I've finally managed to churn out (literally) Mj's (rather belated) birthday gift!! I was really busy studying for my history tests for the past two weeks that in all honesty and truth I couldn't find the time to settle his gift... And yet I wanted to present to him something meaningful and not just any other bimbotic gift. Good things always come after a wait! *ahem excuses*
But eventually I still managed to produce something that was imho, extremely gorgeous and motivational!!!

It's a hundred quote quotebook in fun-size! Filled with all the love, motivation and encouragement that a person could ever ask for!
I am (because I am still) damn proud of this gift okay!!! I thought about what should I give Mj for a couple of days and I finally decided on this because I felt that it would turn out prettiest ;)
It wasn't hard to do, just extremely time consuming. I had to go online and compile a hundred witty quotes on all aspects of life, cut paper, hand-write all the quotes in onto the coloured paper while making sure I don't make any mistakes. I didn't. *Achievement unlocked*

Here's how the inside of the quotebook looks like!!!
It was too colourful that I didn't feel like giving it away anymore :'( Felt like a saint after going through so many quotes *laughs again*.
If you're wondering how I did it.... You shouldn't be 'cos it's really too damn easy to do - amateur level of compiling papers!!
Materials needed:
- Ribbon of suitable length
- 25 pieces of coloured contruction papers
- 1 piece of black sponge paper
- Trustable black ink pen
- 100 quotes
- Hell lot of patience
Method:
1. Cut construction paper and sponge paper into A6 size pieces.
2. Punch holes in all of them.
3. Write in your quotes, one on each piece of construction paper. CAREFULLY - to avoid any undesirable mistakes.
4. After all hundred quotes are successfully written in, string the ribbon through the punched holes of the construction papers and sponge paper (one in front and one at the back) and tie a final ribbon after all papers are stringed through.
5. Design cover page as you wish :)
5 easy peasy steps!! *proud*

"The phoenix must burn to emerge" - Janet Fitch ~ This is by far my favourite quote of the entire quotebook!
Mj said he'll "read through it everyday". I was super touched when I heard that!!! See it isn't very difficult to please me!! *laughs for third time*

Had to do this... Because the amount of reds on we was more than two. Haha.
I had wanted to visit Swiss on Teacher's Day but unfortunately party's over when Aaron and I arrived so we only managed to walk around the school once (oh well) before heading over to Shakery to relieve past memories :')
Nevertheless I fooled around with the girls in AJ and we managed to snap some really hilarious pictures!!

Collection of what we took!

I like this picture most! It's the trying-to-act-model pose which I failed so terribly at.

Mission Impossible with Zoe! (Really impossible with both of us haha). She's soooooo adorable ohgosh.

The five of us!! From right: *ahem* Sexiest woman alive, Ying Ying, Zoe, Kexin, Zhe Ching.
Look at my thunder thighs. Just look at it. I am dreadfully ashamed.
Oh Aaron chanced upon this picture and he told me that he could actually read the personalities of the five of us based on our poses in the picture. He said since my arm was pointing outwards most, it meant that I was very postive about life and also a very outgoing person. True to a certain extent but maybe my arm was pointing outwards most because I didn't have a person beside me that I could jab with with my elbow. Hmmmmmmmmm.
I still feel pretty regretful over not being able to join in the teacher's day celebration @ Swiss and catch a glimpse of my juniors :/

Finally got the chance to dress up for lunch at town with my maternal family!!!! It has been sooooooooooooooo long since I last opened my wardrobe and pondered upon whether polka dots go well with stripes or perhaps floral prints went well with stripes. I mean all that I've been pondering about for the past two weeks was why did democracy fail in independent southeast asia and why did the rise of nationalism cause the collaspe of USSR. You see how lifeless have I been?????
So long story short... I was supremely eager and enthusiastic for this lunch trip.

Outfit of the day: Striped blouse from F21, Floral princess skirt from KL, Rosette headband from Bugis and Mummy Tang's rainbow coloured flower necklace.

Close-up shot of the rosette headband!

With sista Tang. She's so leggy that I'm mildly annoyed at the fact that why didn't I get the same lower body genes as her.

Mummy Tang's the loveliest mummy I could ever have. She's so beautiful ♡_♡
Lunch was at The Square. Have been there quite a few times so I was pretty bored of their food already but if it means being able to get out of the house for a breather from studying.......

Sashimi, sashimi, sashimi ~

Here's my dearest Phyllis who's mugging hard for her O's this year. Congrats for achieving commendable results for you D&T!! Continue to work hard and we'll be able to shop to our heart's content soon!!!
Snagged up some good buys at H&M today. Sometimes I really feel guilty for splurging so much on clothing when I only have that many days per week to wear them... But they're such desirable and gorgeous threads that I couldn't afford to give up... #firstworldgirlproblems

Alright bye! *takes chance to insert one more self-shot*
