Say hi to the two champs of our class!!!
It was a brilliant day, with brilliant sunshine, brilliant races and brilliant people. I never once enjoyed Track and Field meets, or whatever they called it during my secondary school days - Sports Day - largely due to the fact that I never once saw the need nor felt hyped up to cheer for anyone.
I remember I always used to groan and lament about the need for "Sports Day" and what my friends and I will end up doing will be........ Camwhoring or finding good times to escape early.
But for my two years (maybe a good one year and 3 months) in AJC, I enjoyed every Track and Field meet. Particularly the races which Zach ran in, and in this year's case Nich's races too because my class will then start going crazy and yell, cheer, scream for them till our voices went hoarse.
I don't remember ever being so enthusiastic for anything related to sports. It has to be the class spirit that made everything a slight tinge more special, more interesting. I mean, c'mon, which class would ever go as crazy as to sitting right next to the track just to cheer Zach on in his 100 metres race? And scream our lungs out till we got judged by the people in front of us? Or maybe scurried off right after morning assembly without any concern for systematic dismissal just to get good seats for all 13 of us?
