Travel Diaries: Assisi

Nothing to do with Assisi but I realised I missed this picture out from the previous entry on Rome x Vatican City so I thought might as well kick-start this entry with something that I love most.... Desserts. What I'm having is (if I remember correctly) custard and honey panna cotta and I was super excited to try it coz of all the Masterchef episodes that I watched panna cotta seemed to be the most popular dessert treat. It was delightfully candied!!! Perfect way to end of a perfect day :)

Coming back, after Rome we travelled to Assisi. A less commercialised city of Italy, that's why it's relatively more unheard of as compared to the rest of the cities that we covered. Yet to me Assisi is one of the most serene and quaint places to be in - I feel so relaxed just visiting the place itself. It has those rustic alleyways with beautifully decorated signboards, just like the ones in romance novels and movies. I had literally seen and even better, experienced my own imagination!!!! Blessed with amazing weather, just slightly towards the foggy side, and the city tour went by smoothly.

Lots of pictures coming up... I mean being such a charming and peaceful place I had to return with bountiful snaps :)

Aren't these pictures all heartbreakingly gorgeous? The skies were blue, grasses were green, pizza was absolutely delicious (Italian pizza just tastes exceptionally amazing) and the air was fresh. I enjoyed Assisi thoroughly and it's easily one of my favourite visited cities!

After Assisi we dropped by The Mall for some shopping before concluding the day. Ended up snuggling in the cafe for desserts (yay!) and coffee. What a lovely day!

I hope you guys enjoyed the pictures! I miss Europe already :'(

Till we meet again,
