(I got distracted halfway after typing that first paragraph....... My week in random shots I guess?)
Great start to an entry. Let's try that again, shall we?
How have you guys been? *waves*
I guess we could say my life till date has been pretty fulfilling. For the first time in my life I actually went ahead and applied for a freaking scholarship (I wish someone would kill me for all the self-aggrandising that I had to make) and I actually felt pretty darn proud of that! I was never someone of scholarship material and yes, I admit to even chucking away all the scholarship-relevant materials distributed to us in this heavy tote-bag loaded with tons of University magazines on results day... All because I thought they're gonna be irrelevant to me anyway.
But hey, who knew! I was literally the student who slept in classes, skipped lectures and ignored homework (Read: Total model student) and was the kid who drowned in result slips filled with fails -
Thank you, Timmy - but I guess everything turned out better than I expected in the end, and I wake up everyday thanking luck for finally smiling upon me since my supposed route to success was forever under construction. (Haha)
Moving on... Just caught Divergent over the weekends and hell, what a darling of a man Theo James is!!! The movie was fab (less the ending), though I would think that the book's better (I never read it but snippets of quotes by Veronica Roth seemed pretty cool) but what's better is a majorly cute guy for the lead male protagonist!!!
Please tell me how does anyone not fall in love?????? I browsed through gifs of interviews with him on Tumblr (yes, potential stalker material) and I can totally understand why he's Hollywood's next sweetheart - I mean, he's welcome to be my sweetheart any day.
What else... Oh yes, I recently decided to invest in the Kinfolk mags series due to the big hype about it; everyone seems to own a copy of their own. I haven't got down to reading it yet, but that lifestyle mag sure does look promising and I can't wait to get started on it!
Ever since I've started on office hours I've been trying my best to free my Sundays of activities just so I can snuggle up under the covers for a few good hours of reading. It's a shame that I've been neglecting my books after I got my results and now that everything's settled down, it's only right that I got back to them. I've got so many unopened books and my recent visits to goodreads just tempted me to get more. If you're interested, I'm currently on The Time In Between/The Seamstress by Maria Duenas, which by far, is amazingly lovely.
I'm probably gonna get myself a pretty little plain notebook and have Tumblr printouts pasted on it because yes I definitely sold my soul to that website and you can never go wrong with tumblr-inspired notebooks. Ever.
Maybe I'd start a new thing on this space just so that I could incorporate more personal entries... And it's also a good way to clear my phone's gallery of all the random (and lousy) snapshots/selfies I take over the week, or perhaps every two weeks. I mean, it does add a little more of that lifestyle feel when you guys hang around on this site, right?
Apart from that I guess I'm probably gonna get more dirty looks from Mom coz I just giggled randomly at something from tumblr and was caught red-handed and guilty-as-charged for staring at the same gif for ten whole minutes:
IT IS REALLY FUNNY YOU'VE GOT TO STARE AT IT TO GET IT I SWEAR
Happy midweek!
