Curél Sebum Care range has a dual function effect on our skin - it strengthens skin barrier, ie. protects and replenishes ceramide (wow this itself already sounds pretty barrier-ish), the important component of our skin so prevent external irritants and dirt from penetrating our skin. Also, it regulates sebum secretion at its source, so as to keep oil and acne breakouts under control.
The Curél Sebum Care Forming Wash is a lathered foam cleanser that effectively reduces excess sebum without destroying skin texture for gentle foams cushions against rubbing and tugging during the cleansing process. Cleansing foams are always a good decision for facial washes because we use it twice daily - With the foaming already done, there is no need for any more pulling and rubbing of the product on skin to generate foam - All you've gotta do is to simply massage the foam onto your face!
(I love the cleansing step of any skincare regime. Leaves my face feeling squeaky clean!!!)
How to:
1. Apply two full pumps directly onto wet skin.
2. Do not lather! Simply spread it over your face, especially on problem areas.
3. Gently massage and rinse of thoroughly.
This is something new for me - I usually jump straight to applying my moisturiser after cleansing, so for the first time I'm actually using something before that. The Curél Sebum Care Lotion kickstarts the sebum secretion control by preparing the skin to absorb the moisture gel that will be used later on.
Lotion is non-sticky, really light and spreads easily over my entire face. It was almost like applying water on!
How to:
1. After cleansing, apply lotion gently over entire face.
2. Lotion may take some time to be absorbed by skin, pat face gently with clean hands for faster absorption.
3. Use twice daily, in the morning and night.
The Curél Moisture Gel probably embodies the literal meaning of skin food. It gets absorbed into the deeper layers of the skin to target the source of sebum secretion and keep in under control, while still retaining and keeping our skin's moisture level at a healthy range.
Oh the goodness of skincare all in a little bottle. The gel feels concentrated but it's surprisingly easy to apply over my entire face! It spreads out smoothly and evenly over skin and for the first couple minutes it was like having a 'water mask' over my face. As the gel gets absorbed by skin, (within minutes too), skin actually feels like a matt finish while still being sufficiently hydrated!!!
