Pretty right? Mad love this picture! ♥
In my whole 10 years of education, this was the first ever year that I actually wore an ethnic costume in school to commemorate Racial Harmony Day!
I was rather hesitant about wearing the ethnic costume because 1. I'm shy, 2.I've never tried it before, 3.I have no idea where to make a set of ethnic costume magically appear. But since the girls were rather enthusiastic about wearing the costumes since it's our last year as secondary school students, I kinda got influenced by their enthu-ness and therefore I decided to participate in wearing an ethnic costume on that day!
My Malay kebaya was borrowed from my lovely Malay neighbour, who generously lent the brand new, never ever worn before, $45 kebaya which was supposed to be for her eldest daughter to me. I'm so touched lah please! Even her daughter hasn't wore it before, and she pratically pushed the costume into my hands and even said I looked good in it! Where to find sucha nice neighbour like this?! Thank you auntie!
Nice? Nice? Nice? (I know it's a wee bit big but I still like it anyway ^^)
Another picture that I really really like :)
First time wearing an ethnic costume, memories for life. Could say that half of the level wore ethnic costumes? The response was still best from the sec4s, afterall last year already what! I took tons and tons of pictures with the girls and they were all fantastic :) Seriously considering on investing in my own set of kebaya/nonya costume; they are all so pretty and elegant and make me behave like a proper lady! (As I felt that these 2 costumes make a girl look very dainty and well brought-up, so for that day I tried to really behave like a proper lady!)
Told you we took pictures everywhere... Even in the lab!
The girls were saying that this pouty face is the face that I often gave... I didn't realise it until they told me. It was kinda like a sub-conscious pout LOL.
At the exhibition booths, taking pictures again. Heh!
Especially love Pam's metallic blue baju kurung so must take individual shot with her. HAHA.
Oh! This was one of the most interesting traditional chinese candy which I've never heard of. It's called the Dragon Beard Candy 'cos the candy's made out of thin threads of... idk, flour? With peanut filling inside. Not bad tasting!
After which it got freaking hot till I couldn't tahan anymore so I changed out, and got dragged to watch some Chinese singing competition... With me trying my best to twirl the golden malt candy syrup to a white candy... as Cyn told me when the malt candy's white it's best tasting.
With Chleo
Which obviously didn't turn out well/delicious/appetite-enhancing 'cos I'm not a professional malt candy twirler LOL.
Group picture with our Physics teacher Mr Tan. Spot him!
Ending the entry with a colourful group picture of us in our ethnic costumes.
Happy Racial Harmony Day!
