C, all summed up - Featured

If it's anything that I really feel like doing these days............ It'll be to drop by Kino to get myself a couple of good books and indulge myself in them.

I've got my eye on Pride and Prejudice (Up till now I've yet to read it, I know) and Memoirs of a Geisha. If it's any kind of fiction books that I love most it'll be those relating to the olden days. Old Asia and old Europe.

Too bad I've hardly got time for anything else apart from assignments and SYF. Not that it's suffocating me or anything of that sort but.... Days like these I just feel like forgetting myself in fiction.

It's normal right??? Well even if it's not I still have the urge to do it.

Speaking of urges, I remember when I was walking past rows of noticeboards and I suddenly had the urge to grab a bat/rock and start smashing all the glass boards that covered them.

That is definitely abnormal. I am just desiring for the thrill and adrenaline rush of it!!!

So what have I busied myself with: I gave my phone a makeover!

It's now wrapped in colourful prints!!!!!!!!! Makes my day everyday!

I ordered this online from Gmarket Korea

Thought that it was pretty expensive for just a phone skin (~SGD 20+) but the print is really too pretty to let go!!!!!!!! I'm such a sucker for prints.

Here's the entire sheet of sticker - It's not obvious here but there is actually a cut-out of the phone's shape so all I had to do was to tear and paste accordingly!

It was like a higher level of sticker collection; I spent a good solid hour getting the sticker to fit perfectly and as accurately as possible onto my phone.

The phone's front! Too pretty!!!!

Really impressed with the quality of the skin! It's not those kind of flimsy material that tears at the slightest mistake but instead the material of this one is relatively sturdier! I could paste, remove it, and paste again (repeat x653973 times) and it still stays a whole! It also has this kind of waterproof texture to it - I've never actually tried running/dripping water onto it in fear of spoiling it, but yeah you get me.

This is the back! My phone is now prettier than yours!!!

The set also comes with some sort of skin protector (Like a screen protector material) but it's in a sheet form and I'll have to cut out the dimensions myself, then stick it onto the cover as protection. But guess who got lazy and decided to give the protection a miss? I thought the skin itself was pretty decent feeling already so......

Personally I feel that the reason behind the skin being a tad bit too pricey is coz after meticulously tearing out the cut-outs, there is still a whole bunch of left over sticker!!!!! So if you've got a good stable hand you could still makeover your other gadgets with the remaining print to match with your phone!

I got tons of compliments for it though. It really is very eye-catching ;)

If you guys have been reading the papers, maybe you've caught a glimpse of me in The Straits Times!

I'm being featured in the HOME section of The Straits Times (Monday, March 4 2013) alongside with a few other AJCians!

Basically the article is promoting schools who allow students to wear school-related tees which are not the usual formal collared ones. TJC and River Valley High School are in it as well!

Not exactly a very big deal since tons of other schools have already implemented it way before we did but we still made it to the cover page of HOME! Now that's the big deal!

Close up shot of us ^.^

If you're wondering how I got chosen to be in the picture........ Well I didn't. I just so happened to wear the Non Mihi Solum shirt that day and it just happens that the shirt was a symbol of AJC and it just so happens that they were scouting for students in different tees that day.

Lanyu (Most right of picture) suddenly came up to me and told me: "I NEED YOU" and scurried me off to that little gathering where I was told that we were gonna snap a picture for the papers. So yup all I did was smile.

On the following Monday just right after I've washed up, Bunny shocked me with a 'Congrats you're in the news' + a picture on Whatsapp, and I was like woah we really did appear!!!!!!!! Coz honestly I didn't think of it much as a big deal and I didn't expect such a trivial issue to actually take up the cover of HOME!

Still, thanks to all who congratulated me - I sincerely appreciate it!!!
