At current my mood is like:
I guess this will most probably be my last entry for this week... And most likely the first for the next? So I figured that pictures might do this blog and me some justice for the week which I'd be absent and away from the laptop, so here are some snaps from over the week!
I promise I'll blog about Hong Kong as soon as possible (I know, I'm excited just thinking about it) but for now just make do with the Chirstmas lighting along the streets of Orchard Road!! And some other miscellaneous pictures :)
We started off from the stretch along Far East Plaza.
They really look like Chinese New Year lightings, don't they? :x
But I kinda like this 'arc'. I honestly have no idea what is it termed as.
This extra large Christmas tree is erected outside ION Orchard!
If I'm not wrong every year the giant Xmas tree will be outside ION. Or am I wrong?
This is from the inside of the tree. It really felt as if glitter's raining on you (me) but it can get dizzy after a while.
One more with the tree's deco!
Family :)
A close of of the nice arc that I mentioned previously!
"THIS IS MY TREE!!!!!!!!"
Little Xmas trees are so adorable!!!
This isn't Xmas related but since it's there might as well snap a shot with Mr Red as well.
Because they steps had colourful lights, okay?
I had to take one more shot with the colourful step lighting!!
The Night Safari was there too and they were giving out...
Helium balloons!!! You can never ever say no to helium balloons, no matter how old you are.
The balloons have these little bulbs at the top so it's really something special... I guess?
Ferrero Rocher tree, always around during Christmas.
We're along the streets of Takashimaya already!
Little minatures of founding father Lee Kuan Yew spotted!
On the way to 313 Somerset.
For some reason I like the hue of this picture! These decorations are outside Orchard Central!
Second time I took a picture in this tunnel thing...
In case you're wondering... We gave away our balloons to this family with two little kids. Afterall Chirstmas is the season of giving right!
It's this tradition of my dad to always have one individual shot at events such as this. Just one.
Had dinner at The Cafe Cartel at Plaza Singapura.
That's at Dhoby Ghaut. Which effectively means that we cleared the entire street - From Far East Plaza to Dhoby Ghaut :)
Last shot of the day - It's been so long since I last took a picture with Mickey & Minnie!
Drop by town someday to snap pictures of their Chirstmas lighting!
OOTD - Top: Bugis Street | Bottom: New Urban Jeans | Belt: Cotton On | Clutch: Forever 21
The flower hair accessory is from KL!
Dined at The Ship for lunch.
I've always passed by this restaurant during my stays in KL but never once went in for a meal... I was quite disappointed with their fish though. Thought it'll be much tastier and less flaky :(
Jaslyn and Phyllis! Phy had her fringe cut to bangs in China *laughs* and she returned grumbling about how she looked like a China girl now. I guess they saw her as one of their own, literally. *laughs even harder*
Nothing better than to sit at Starbucks sipping Java Chip after lunch :)
Dian Xiao Er for dinner! I was soooooo full that day.... To think that I had wanted myself to loose a few kilos before heading to Hong Kong :(
Yes, I feel guilty about eating Sharks' Fin too......................... In all truth and honesty I had totally forgotten about my vow to not consume sharks' fin........... Because I love sharks' fin but yet I wanted to save the sharks. And I feel extremely apologetic about it because for the longest period of time (ever since I saw the cruelty being done to the sharks on video) I've been avoiding sharks' fin myself and have been persuading my family members to do so too. Sharks' fin didn't come easy and I've not been offered them for so long.......... So it totally slipped my mind. Like entirely. I guess old habits do die hard.
I know, excuses, but I'm really, really, really sorry :(
I will promise to avoid sharks' fin at all from now onward and continue to advocate for the practice of sharks' fin abstinence :(

So yes, I think this entry is kinda settled and piled up with pictures :)
Which reminds me, I will still be active on Instagram (@helloitschels) even in Hong Kong to upload shots of dim sum and Disneyland (the Double Ds), so follow me if you're interested!
I've also blogged about Hong Kong before, but with Swiss Winds in 2010. Here are the entries if you wanna know more about Winter Band Festival and the process of parading through Disneyland!
It's a blurry front camera picture but do you see the party hat?!?!?!?
As long as you see it - Have a happy December, bye!
