Hello, hello, hello!!!!!!!! After being gone for so long I'm finally back to this humble online journal of mine!
I've got so many things to share with you sweethearts - Where should I begin from? First off, the dreaded As are finally over... I almost can't believe that I don't have to ever touch economics ever again. I've already had my fair share of immediate post-As celebration, as usual, a buffet. Korean buffet. I still remember after my Os I went for a Japanese buffet. Yes food makes me happy and it heals and revives my soul.
My cousin told me for the past two months or so I've literally become a stoner and honestly my mind is still not fully tuned out of 'study-mode' - I mean I wake up on some days and wonder if I have papers and sometimes, unfortunately experience pangs of worry over the paper which I screwed up :'(
But yes, hello civilisation I'm back and I won't be leaving for some time!!
As you guys should already know by the time you've scrolled to this point......... If you haven't (omg what a loser haha no kidding) I finally got my hair permed!!! Here's how they look like from the back view:
The tresses look a little limp and flat in the photo set because it's hair that hasn't been washed for two days for the chemical to set in. I absolutely cannot take it anymore in fact after uploading this entry I'm gonna take a nice long bath to scrub my hair thoroughly clean.
I've always wanted to perm my hair coz all my life I've been living with (relatively) straight hair and I'm always so envious of the volume that curls can add to hair! What's more curled hair looks better with hair accessories and tadah I get to have my dream hair for a few months now!!!
So what do you guys think???? In my opinion they're gorgeous!!!!!
Another thing though, remember how I've so valiantly announced that I wanted to dye my hair too? Well, I gave up on Project-Hair-2. Don't get me wrong, I've always wanted to dye my hair, in fact I had intended for my hair to have burgundy curls. I had always pictured myself with red hair and even managed a whole folder of wine-coloured hair sample pictures on my phone for references. And despite everyone telling me that my hair colour was pretty enough to leave it as it is, I insisted on dyeing it.
Till I wavered when every hairdresser that I went to complimented my hair colour, saying that it was a very intricate one that even artificially dyed hair may not be able to achieve. I never saw the uniqueness in my hair, except for the fact that it was chestnut brown, and that was about it. And when I took this picture on the day of my perming appointment............
(no editing done at all, the difference in colour from the previous pictures is due to the lighting disparity at the places the photos were taken at)
I realised that I couldn't bear to give up my natural hair colour just like that. I mean, if you had such a colour for your hair would you??? And furthermore if I actually went ahead and dyed my hair I might never be able to get back this original colour ever. Who knows what will happen right? So yes, I'm still sticking to my natural hair colour; perhaps when the day that I'm able to take the risk comes I might just go crazy and dye my hair orange or something :)
So, that kinda concludes my adventures for the past 3 days, apart from making up for the void in me by furiously shopping and bumming around at home doing absolutely nothing. My favourite hobby of all.
The house is literally a war zone now - and my room definitely the place that has ongoing riots. Notes, mountains of them are strewed everywhere, alongside with random post-its sticking at the most uncanny of places and highlighters under every other stack of papers. To add on, we've currently started packing for Europe so a corner of the house is cornered off just for the space of four luggage and hell lot of other snacks and whatnot. I honestly feel that we're literally bring the entire house, cramped in four metal boxes, overseas but oh well I really can't wait for the day when we fly off!!
Till then, I'm gonna have fun resting my mind entirely while shopping for a neko beanie!
