There're altogether 1000++ images, so I think I'll split the Japan entries into 3 posts. The rest will be on Facebook :D
I've always wanted to go to Japan - I've been bugging my parents for 3 years! Partly because I watch anime and I love Japanese food. Also, everyone who went Japan only had compliments for it!!! That was why I really looked forward to this trip; what's more it's winter over there and there's gonna be wonderful sceneries (:
The only thing that I didn't really like about Japan would be the language barrier. The people there only know one language - Japanese. Each time someone speaks to us, we'll be like " .... Huh? English? " And the best part is - they don't understand us either! We'll have to end up doing hand actions for them to at least get an idea of what we're talking about. Epic much.
The things there are expensive, even more expensive than Singapore. But they are definitly of good quality, especially the FOOD!!!!!! Also, the whole country's really really clean ... but you don't see road sweepers/dustbins around! The Japanese are really polite, soft-spoken and forever smiling. Serious about the forever smiling part. Not to mention high-tech. The toilet bowls have butt warmers and washers, mind you.
Okay then, let's go on with the pictures ............. (Oh yeah the itinery changed so I don't know the names of some of the places we went ... )
Day 1 - Arrival @ Japan at around midnight.
Guide told us there was this really good ramen store around the hotel area thus we went to find it ....
Nice store this is. We were literally standing to eat ... 'cos that was a pushcart store.
One bowl cost us 600 yen about ~S$10. One of the nicer ramens I've eaten so far though (:
Day 2 - Tokyo !!!!!!!!!!
In the hotel - Now you know why Japan is called the land of the Rising Sun .
Get-up for the day (:
I swear I will bling my camera during this December holidays so that it will look better in mirrors (:
We took this bullet train down from Shin-yokohama (that's where our hotel was located) to Tokyo. This was where the itinery changed O:
I have absolutely no idea where is this place, but from what the guide said this is the place where the Japanese king stayed O.O (天公)
Nice scenery along the way and at the place though (:
Lunch - Pork, yam & miso soup. Not forgetting Japanese green tea.
Next up - Hello Kitty Land.
This was meant to be a theme park for us visitors ... but apparently all they have is rides for young kids and mascot-themed shows in Japanese which I freaking do not understand!!!
However if you're the kind that goes gaga over Sanrio characters, well this is the place for you!
With a not-so-cute Hello Kitty. Since I always imagined Hello Kitties to be like mini and v adorable O.O
I bought this Hello Kitty ribbon which I thought was really adorable though !!!!
Looks best on black hair, sadly mine's brown.
Last stop for the day, Ameyokot.
Ameyokot is a place where local products are sold. More of a food street.
We didn't buy anything 'cos the guide only gave a ONE HOUR to shop the streets and mind you, the streets are like lonnggggggggggggggggggggggg. Thanks guide, I couldn't get that furry backpack that I wanted. Grr.
Last picture - Hey I wasn't ready for the camera !!! :@
