First things first, (I really need to announce this like to the whole world 'cos just thinking of it makes me go hysteria.)
The Singapore National Cadet Corp Command Band Swiss Winds has successfully clinched a GOLD Award in the Hong Kong International Winter Band Festival, with a grand mark of 89.4 points - FIRST in place of all Singapore bands, and overall second in place.
Yay, or what? Trust me, when the emcee actually announced our results, we went crazy. Really crazy. Afterall, who in the right mind can contain this piece of big news after being scolded, insulted, psyco-ed, having super intensive trainings, etc. and not go crazy ?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What's more, it was after a really looooooongggggggggg period of time that we can finally enjoy this kind of glorious success. AFTER. A. SUPER. LONG. PERIOD. OF. TIME.
Everyone feels good. And we're so gonna savour this success, enjoying the sweetness of it :D
Swiss Winds @ Hong Kong Day 1.
Woke up at 4am in the morning. Didn't laze around or go back to sleep, 'cos I WAS DOWN RIGHT EXCITED.
@ Changi Airport : It was NOT FUN checking in with all your luggage AND instrument, especially when your instrument is a big one. Like moi's.
Nevertheless, we successfully checked in everything and even had free time for pictures (:
My beloved Saxophone Section ♥
With all brother, daughter and Fruit :D HEEHEE.
This was the SQ A380 that we took to HK. Wasn't much of a difference from other Singapore Airlines planes once you were inside of it. Heh.
Inside the plane. Couldn't really see the inside of the plane, but yeah. Daryl and moi's face more important :D
Then it was ZOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM to HK. Watched Despicable Me on the plane. HEEHEE.
(3 hours later...)
Arrival @ HK.
Didn't really get to take pictures of the HK airport 'cos 1. Everyone was running around the get things in place and the band had to cooperate and not wander off on our own, 2. There wasn't really a significant sign stating that we were @ the HK airport.
After which we went off to start our journey - sightsee HK :D
First up : Victoria Peak.
The weather there was nothing like Singapore's. It's not too cold and not too warm. Like an outdoor air-conditioned place. Feels good ^^
Inside the tram - Was squashed up in the middle so the pictures turned out like that. But you can still see that the tram's moving up.
This was at the peak of the Victoria Peak. Nice view of HK. Teehee.
See the sun? You can totally catch it in your hand (:
Then dinner!!! Was feeling super hungry at that point of time.
The food that they served was good. Not high-class food, but edible and safe for the stomach. Much better then NCC food. Heh.
With Chleo. Love the background.
Next up: Avenue of Stars.
We arrived just in time for the laser show, but I wasn't really impressed by it. Nothing extraordinary, just a few beams of coloured light flashing about. O.O
Cityscape of HK.
HEEHEE. I love my brown hair. It stands out in the night :DDDD
After which we proceeded back to our hotel, L'Hotel Nina.
THIS IS THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE ROOM - TRANSPARENT GLASS SURROUNDING BATHROOM. YIPEE :D
Of course there were curtains ......... Unless you want to show your body to your room mates while showering O:
We also had 2 Queen sized beds - 2 people each and LCD television. Spam called Room Service for iron .... And I guess the person delivering the goods almost went bonkers ...
And that kinda ends off our first day. Everyone was tired out. Even the people working under the room service sector. Heh (:
P.S/ Will be carrying on on Day 2-5 tmr. Didn't realise that I took so many pictures during Day1. Stay tuned for more pictures! (:
