Gardens by the Bay

We decided to be tourists of our very own nation and headed down to Gardens by the Bay for a visit!

The place was gorgeous! Every spot was picturesque (though the botany were artificially grown) and basically I felt that I had to take pictures of every single flower that was available if not my trip wouldn't be worth it. You get it. Picture-heavy post coming up!

These were taken when we at the entrance of the Garden!

On the Dragonfly Bridge! Told you all spots were picture-worthy! See the Singapore Flyer, Supertrees and one of the conservatories behind?

Since it was a pretty spot with great lighting, I decided to have my OOTD shot here!
Touristy pose /^.^v. Had to lug my baggu along coz I had a PW meeting in school before meeting my parents and Aunty May.

And onward we go!

The route towards the conservatories and Supertrees is being split into "sub-gardens" like Malay Garden, Chinese Garden and Indian Garden, each filled with the unique botany of each race.

Looks so oriental inside... 3 guesses to which garden this is!

Would have been a perfect shot if not for the man behind! *grrr*

Daddy and Mummy Tang!

Taken at the Indian Garden.

The Indian Garden smelt like spices!

Close up shot of the Supertrees and the Skyway in the day. More about the Skyway later!

With Marina Bay Sand in the background! We're at the entrance of Flower Dome, one of the conservatories!

And if you guys recall, not long ago you just scrolled past a picture of my sister and I doing a jump shot with the Singapore Flyer in the background. Remember?

Well my dad wanted to have a jump shot of his own too, so he decided to jump from a bench in order to not risk breaking his back. Here is his epic shot!

Yeap here's my dad for you :)

There are two conservatories in all. We entered the Flower Dome first!

It's a huge flower palace with air-conditioning! So you can see exotic flowers without having to brave the sun or rain!

Mitchy-matchy with the yellow flowers

With the family!

"Hurry hurry no one walking through now help me take a shot with the overhead thing!"

This looks so much like those flowers that the girls in old Chinese movies put in their hair!
Or the flower that some guy would pluck from a plant like this and put it into the girl's hair and she'll blush.

Picture spot amidst the flower beds! Were the pumpkins there to suit the Halloween theme???
On second thought I don't think so. *facepalms myself*

Look no further, I'm the prettiest (and fairest) amongst all ;)

And that's about it for Flower Dome! Moving on to the other conservatory, Cloud Forest!

Welcomed by a huge (man-made) waterfall! This level was rather chilly, even the flowers and leaves had little water droplets on them due to condensation.

Walked along the observatory bridges... You have to take the elevator or stairs to storey six and start walking down!

The sky looks soooooooo pretty!!

This is how the observatory bridges look from below!

At each level there are exhibitions too, like crystal exhibits. And they have geography lessons too - Didn't stay to watch but it's probably on how the Earth is dying due to global warming etc etc.

Snapshots of flowers taken around the entire Garden!

I wanted to showcase all the pictures of the flowers that I took, and since I'm at it I might as well colour-coordinate it to the spectrum of the rainbow!

Glad I did it, they look much more organised now and are in such bright happy colours! Too pretty ^.^

Our last stop was the OCBC Skyway! We chose to walk it in the night coz then we are able to get an aerial view of the entire Garden when it's lit up. Also coz there's gonna be a Light & Sound show going on only in the night so we might as well enjoy it from the Skyway :)

Supertrees when lit up! They look gorgeous!!

When we're up on the Skyway... The whole skywalk is actually pretty much similar to walking on a overhead bridge.

"So when we're walking on the Skyway we're Skywalking... So when we fall from it, it'll be called Skyfall."

Me pointing out to the Singapore Flyer in the distance!

This was when the Light & Sound show started. Nothing much, just some song along with the changing lights  of the Supertrees. It lasted for around fifteen minutes.

Managed to snap a (though rather blurry) shot of the "headquater" Supertree when it's about fully lit up! The little white dots look like stars in the sky *-*

Last shot before we leave the Garden!

Everyone should at least visit Gardens by the Bay at least once! It was a great day with lots of photo-taking and happy colours! I enjoyed myself :)
