Can you guys even believe that this is my first time ever wearing a maxi dress? I've always shunned away from them because I thought I'd never look good in them..... Since I'm not very tall and long dresses tend to make me look even shorter than I already am. Then came along the wave of maxi/midi-dress obsession and after seeing girls my height (or shorter) bravely sporting ankle length dresses AND still manage to look absolutely gorgeous, I decided to give these (almost) ankle-kissers a try.
What I'm wearing is an extremely basic maxi-dress that has a flattering cut and braided straps. I got it in black because 1. Black is about the most classic colour to get any apparel that you're trying out to avoid major fashion crimes 2. Black is a slimming colour 3. Majorly into black these days, still not over olive green though. I was initially quite hesitant on wearing it out but after prancing around in it I have to say I've officially fallen in love with the feminine feel so longer dresses!!!!!!!!!
I absolutely can't wait for Chinese New Year to arrive. Have I ever mentioned now that I'm no longer entitled for student fare I've been basically bleeding money every week? The adult fares can really suck a man dry - I'm trying my hardest to at least pay for my own transport costs and after my first pay comes in, I'll probably stop getting money from my parents. The thing is, I want to be able to support myself AND my infinite wants so...... CNY please come soon I'm really running low on funds!!!!
Remember to take good care of your skins, girls! Drink more water and eat more veg (says the carnivore - but if I can do it, so can you!) and here's to looking our prettiest during the upcoming festive seasons :)
So much love,
Chels x
