I'm alive, guys

Has it been three months since my last update???

Gosh, I must say, time does fly.

If you're following me on Instagram (@helloitschels), you could already guess that a huge part of my life circles around school work - there's definitely something going on every day - and hardly any me-time left. To be really honest sometimes I lay in bed missing my JC days where things were much simpler, and four-hours sleep time only took place a week before exams.

Every now and then I'll receive questions on my ask.fm, with people nagging encouraging me to update this spot. So here I am, back with a series of pictures with quick descriptions so at least you guys know that I'm still well and alive!

That said, despite being a walking zombie almost every other day, I'm currently part of The Nanyang Chronicle, NTU's school newspaper. Been at it for slightly more than three months now, and I'm really thrilled because I'm literally living my dream ambition out in WKW. Deets with the pictures!

1. Fabs and I are now the Lifestyle Editors of The Nanyang Chronicle - basically we're in charge of the stories that comes out on the Lifestyle section of the newspaper. Lifestyle covers a wide range of well, lifestyle stories (a little like this blog, less the informal writing style) like food, places, travelogues and beauty. Chron, abbreviated term for Chronicle, is a never ending cycle of idea-pitching, writing/editing and layout. The newspaper comes out every three weeks and we're currently in our fourth issue since Fabs and I took over. Six more to go!

2. The first issue that we laid (out) took a huge toll on us coz being ultimate noobies both of us struggled like a Margikarp trying to use tackle. This picture was taken during our second production night, where things got much smoother and we had the time (and mood) to fool about.

3. Celebrated going-back-to-school with Homecoming 2015.

4. Mandatory photo for every issue of the Chron when it's fresh from the oven. This was for our second issue, where Fabs and I dressed to a floral theme and he insisted that we took our picture amidst the flora and fauna of WKW...

5. Valentine's Day sale at WKW! Stole the props prepared for my own use. Tried to balance the last cardboard heart on my head and it fell so this was the shot captured right before my heart broke. (Get it?)

6. But thanks guys for the flowers - they don't really live long under my care, but I love them!!!

7. End product of another story for Chron, cooked everything IN HALL. *proud*

8. 14 Feb Look Of The Day.

9. Chinese New Year came, and I got fat. Again. Sigh.

10. Random selfie taken during CNY visiting.

11. Went down to support Fabs in his hall production with the Marios!

12. And..... We met up again for an extremely late CNY pot luck. It's amazing how the only people I meet in my life are these few weird ones...

13. Had a sudden urge to watercolour so I dug out my old watercolour set and started doodling and adding in colours that don't match. It's good stress relief, I must say. And the end products make good cards!

14. With my favourite Thai dessert at Porn's Sexy Thai Food.

15. FINALLY caught up with my favourite bunch over a steamboat dinner at MJ's place. I missed them SO MUCH we literally stay a few kilometres away from each other but we haven't met in like a year. There was so much to catch up on and they reminded me of my time in Swiss Winds, which I really want to go back to :(

16. Another activity for Chron - Bubble Soccer this time round! The most tiring sport I've ever done in my life. Definitely no ball of a time.

17. CS Week 2015. With Jemmie and Jared (who's dressed as a gay gym teacher to fit the 70s' theme). A for effort.

18. He gave up dressing up the next day so this is a normal picture of us at the photobooth. Looking slightly flushed from all that alcohol, but it was fun so... Drink on?

There. My schedule's piled up with mid terms and projects and I could really use a good long holiday right now. What have you guys been up to?

Much love,
Chels x
